At Hobart we challenge all pupils through an appropriate curriculum, whatever their ability. However, we also recognise that those who have the potential to achieve very highly benefit from extra support and an extra level of challenge.
We ensure that this is happening by identifying our most able pupils and we challenge them by ensuring subject specific curriculums give them opportunities to develop not only knowledge, but higher level thinking skills as well. Our intervention programme identifies early underachievement and allows staff to work with able pupils to set targets which will help them achieve their goals and really get the most out of their studies. Our extensive range of extra-curricular activities gives able pupils the opportunity to hone and develop their talents and enthusiasms beyond the classroom.
