Year 6 Transition Summer School 2021
Our summer school took place for one week between the 9th and 13th of August 2021 for the year 6 students transitioning into year 7 in September. Ninety-nine students from the cohort of one hundred and thirty two attended at least one day. The summer school had several aims, including:
- Providing year 6 students the opportunity to become familiar with the school before September, an opportunity missed due to COVID
- To allow students to meet and build relationships with staff and support staff
- To offer academic and enrichment activities missed due to lockdown
- To help students to build their confidence and self-esteem
- To allow students to forge new friendships and improve team working skills

Students took part in activities including paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, orienteering, climbing and archery. |
Physical Education
Students will take part in a carousel of three different activities in order to try their hand at different sports.
